In 2023, the reopening of Macau boosts Galaxy's revenue by 211.0%.

 Due to the complete reopening of the Macau casino sector, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) reported a 211.0% increase in revenue to HKD35.68 billion (£3.60 billion/€4.21 billion/US$4.56 billion) in 2023.

 In January 2023, Macau lifted all remaining quarantine and travel restrictions related to the epidemic.  As a result, tourists were once more able to visit the area's land-based casinos, such as the Galaxy Macau, without restriction.

 Revenue for other carriers in the area as well as Galaxy was significantly impacted by this change.  In 2023, the Galaxy Macau's income alone soared 274.3% year over year, with gaming revenue reaching 312.1%.

 Other Macau operations saw development as well, but somewhat more subdued.  Chairman Lui Che Woo praised the 2023 performance, despite the region's heightened competitiveness.

 "At GEG, we continue to allocate resources to their most efficient use and drive every segment of the business with a particular focus on the mass business," Woo stated.  "The full-year adjusted EBITDA growth reflects our efforts.  This was in spite of ongoing regional and Macau rivalry as well as several geopolitical and economic problems that affected consumer attitude.

 Galaxy construction for the future
 Galaxy has also made headway on a number of development projects during the past year. 

 It opened the Galaxy International Convention Centre ("GICC"), Galaxy Arena, the 450-suite Raffles at Galaxy Macau, and the upscale mass Horizon Club.  Before Chinese New Year 2024, the Andaz Macau also opened to the public.

 Phase four of the development of a new integrated resort in Macau is still in progress.  A new casino, several hotel brands, a theatre, retail stores, non-gaming services, landscaping, and a water resort deck are all part of the project, which is expected to be finished by 2027.

 The goal of non-gaming, according to Woo, is to expand the market by drawing in a wider spectrum of guests to our resorts and making use of our current amenities.  "We are trying our hardest, but these initiatives will take time. 

 In 2023, GEG established offices abroad in Seoul and Tokyo, and it will shortly add a second location in Bangkok.  We will work to assist this government program because there is fierce rivalry for valuable foreign tourists.

 When 2023 numbers are broken down, Galaxy's group net gaming revenue climbed 315.6% to $23.29 billion.  income from non-gaming increased by 167.0% to $5.40 billion, while income from construction materials increased by 3.8% to $3.00 billion.

 Galaxy Macau's revenue of $27.72 billion was significantly higher than the $7.42 billion it made in 2022, when the region was affected by pandemic restrictions.  Of total, $22.91 billion came from gaming, $3.25 billion from non-gaming, and $1.56 billion from building supplies.

 The current group net gaming revenue is $23.29 billion.
 The elimination of COVID-19 restrictions also contributed to a 56.9% increase in StarWorld Macau's revenue to $4.64 billion.  Gaming activity was responsible for $4.15 billion of this total, a 339.6% increase. 

 Additionally, the Broadway Macau entertainment and street resort saw a 72.0% increase in revenue to $103 million, while City Clubs saw a 264.0% increase to $222 million.

 A detailed analysis of Galaxy's expenses, taxes, and net profit for the year was not provided.  It did, however, show that revenue growth contributed to adjusted EBITDA's increase from a $0.60 billion loss in 2022 to a $10.00 billion gain in 2023.

 Regarding the year's last quarter, Q4, Galaxy also reported success.  Over the course of the three months, group revenue increased 253.9% year over year to $10.30 billion.

 Compared to the $163 million loss in 2022, adjusted EBITDA for Q4 was $2.81 billion.
 The Galaxy  In Q4, Macau's revenue increased 346.6% to $8.19 billion, while StarWorld Macau's revenue increased 410.2% to $1.26 billion.  Q4 revenue for City Clubs increased by 185.0% to $57m, while Broadway Macau's revenue increased by 100.0% to $38m.

 Compared to the 2022 loss of $163 million, adjusted EBITDA for the fourth quarter was $2.81 billion.
